Charlottesville, Virginia, United States
I am a sophomore at the University of Florida, in the Warrington College of Business. After working multiple different jobs throughout high school and seeing the different styles and strategies used at different companies, I became interested in pursuing a career in business. Working in different roles has allowed me to develop valuable skills that I use every day, such as communication, adaptability, problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, and more. Currently, I am searching for summer internships and opportunities that allow me to develop and learn more about different fields within business. Feel free to reach out. I am open to hearing any advice or questions you may have.
Became the youngest driver at the Charlottesville, VA franchise after quickly developing my skills and trust within the company as a mover. The responsibility that comes with driving 35-foot moving trucks has also taught me more than just being a mover, but the importance of attention to detail and to always have a plan.
30 hours/week as a mover, working with different coworkers and customers each day, becoming very adaptable. Greatly improved my communication and problem-solving skills to be as careful and efficient as possible. Developed my ability to step back, reevaluate, and find a new approach.
Worked alongside multiple financial advisors conducting research for specific areas of the clients background and assets. Collaborated with financial advisors to prepare pitch book materials using PowerPoint.
25 hours/week waiting tables along with opening and closing the restaurant. Created personal connections with hundreds of new customers every week. I learned the pieces of a successful team must work together and communicate while working on the recruiting side. I achieved proficiency using ARMS Teamworks and Catapult Sports for searching and uploading recruits. I also achieved proficiency using HUDL and XOS Sports for uploading film.
40 hours/week over the summers, working my way up to a head lifeguard position. Saved an actively drowning child, being the first save in over three years at that pool. Managed opening and closing the pool everyday, trained new lifeguards, and kept safe pool chemical levels. Made lasting relationships with the local community within a safe and friendly setting.
