Providing Non-Destructive Inspection services to major clients in the Australian oil and gas industry. In this role I used my Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant Testing certifications to inspect drilling tools to various industry and customer standards. In this role I inspected Drill Pipe, Bottom Hole Assembly, Mud Motors, LWD/MWD tools, Fishing tools, OCTG, and Handling tools amongst others. I have inspected tools to DS-1 and API standards as well as multiple customer specifications. I spent two months working either unsupervised or in a two man team providing inspection for speciality tools at Schlumberger's Pathfinder site in Roma, Australia. This particular assignment required me to be flexible as jobs would be presented to me throughout the day with varying levels of urgency. I also gained valuable experience in the inspection of mud motors, non-ferromagnetic LWD/MWD tools, jars and fishing tools. I started with SGS as a labourer in October 2012 and was quickly promoted to a trainee in 2013. I was award with a full Drilling Equipment Inspector after the completion of my Level II MT and PT exams. I had to leave SGS in July 2014 when it became apparent that I would not be able to gain a visa to extend my stay in Australia.
