A simulation engineer at Framatome GmbH is crucial in developing and maintaining computer simulations using C, C++, Python, TCL and Fortran programming languages. These simulations are related to nuclear power systems, Instrument and Control systems or other related technologies. My responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, and optimizing simulation software to model various aspects of nuclear processes, safety measures, or reactor behaviour. This includes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the simulations, contributing to the advancement of nuclear technology and safety standards.
Throughout the internship, I learned about the fundamentals of teaching, including how people learn, how we memorise and behaviour management. I also had the opportunity to develop my communication and leadership skills and my ability to break down complex concepts into something easier to understand. I got the opportunity to support pupils through the role of a teaching assistant, and fully immerse myself in the role of a teacher by planning out and delivering my own lessons.
I was a bartender at De Vere Wokefield estate, one of their largest in England. I was part of the team housed in Mansion House, their most premium sweet designed to accommodate weddings, corporate events and all other functions.
I did work experience in a small company, helping them manage finances using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft access. I also did research into emerging technologies, like Blazor, and gave it a try.
