- Skillfully created and executed business plans that coordinate benefits and programs for 150,000+ Oregon education employees and dependents across the state with annual premiums of 1.6 Bn+ USD in the biennium. - Continually liaisoned with state executive and legislative offices, the Oregon Health Authority, other state agencies, and local governments regarding matters affecting the Oregon Educators Benefit Board. - Oversaw all budgeting functions, human resource management, procurement, financial analysis, and vendor management at Oregon Educators Benefit Board and made recommendations to the board regarding goals and objectives.
- Spearheaded operations and direct processing of $1 Bn+ in payments for the city for the Operations Team and oversaw the purchase of P&C and health coverage of $3.5 billion, and negotiated premiums with carriers for Finance and Insurance Administration. - Supervised a team of 6 directly and 200+ employees indirectly while hiring employees focused on improving department productivity and advising the Comptroller on policies related to costs and services that impact city employees. - Co-authored the Recommendations from the City of Chicago Retiree Study Commission on Health Care and work rules for the Department of Finance and assessed department payroll and labor costs to identify areas of efficiency and cost control while reviewing budgets.
