To work collaboratively with the range of expertise present on the Steering Group to drive through an ambitious programme of works and address the challenges to increasing the use of timber in construction. The Steering Group aim was to develop a forum across Government and Industry to work collaboratively to achieve the following: • To create the conditions to increase the use of timber in construction whilst ensuring the highest degree of building safety and property protection; • To examine regulations and standards and identify challenges to the use of timber in construction; and • To maximise the use of home-grown timber in construction.
