I am currently a Specialist: Regulatory Analysis and Compliance Control. Previously, I was the Principal Specialist: Forensic Audit and Head of Forensics at Transnet Group Capital/Transnet Capital Projects. I have held various junior to senior positions in the past ranging from accounting, auditing, regulatory compliance and forensic investigations, which is the bulk of the experience. Looking forward to a new challenge that would consolidate and fuse branches of finance and the law.
• Provide input into the development of the Regulation and Compliance strategy, policies, standards and operational plans. • Monitor and analyse regulatory and policy requirement and provide support to ensure that regulated businesses are not negatively impacted by emerging or existing public policy and regulatory requirements. • Monitor the regulatory environment to identify new applicable legislative, policy and regulatory items and amendments to existing items, • Review regulatory requirements and communicate with key stakeholders to advise them of the new, amended or repealed regulatory requirements; • Coordinate meetings and workshops to discuss and finalise comments on legislative, policy and regulatory requirements. • Analyse and consolidate comments received from business on draft regulatory requirements. • Conduct the analysis and interpretation of regulatory requirements for inclusion in compliance control plans. • Develop Compliance Control Management Plans in accordance with the GACP guidelines • Review compliance control plans on an annual basis and track implementation of compliance control plans on an ongoing basis. • Develop and conduct control self-assessments based on the approved compliance control plans and report compliance exposures and control self-assessment findings to governance structures. • Develop and maintain relationships with key regulators and maintain an up to date register of all Regulators. • Develop, maintain and monitor the Company Policy Framework to ensure that the organization’s internal policies are developed in line with the set guidelines • Conduct research and track international / best practice trends in the regulatory and compliance environment • Draft reports to Governance Structures regulatory developments and the status of the organization’s compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
Develop and implement the Fraud Risk Management Plan and the management of the provision of Forensic Investigation services to Transnet Group and Operating Divisions Stakeholder management and reporting
