Project: Culture Shed - Hudson Yards, NYC (US). General Contractor: Sciame Construction; EOR: Thornton Tomasetti; Architect: Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Working within the team for US projects. Main responsibilities: - Coordination and interaction with project main involved parties, Clients, Contractors, Subcontractors, throughout weekly coordination meetings and monthly workshops. - Supervision and management of fabrication activities at the several company steelwork shops. - Supervision and coordination of on-site construction activities, from the delivery of the steelwork elements to their erection and finishing. - Interaction with internal technical office, to manage and direct the design, drawing and detailing teams towards the up to dated project needs. - Supervision and coordination with internal purchase and logistic departments. - Planning and cost control activities: weekly analysis and forecast production progresses, prioritization of the design and construction phases, keeping track of change orders, time & cost impacts and claims, with respect to contract agreements among the project main involved parties.
Working within project teams, providing calculations and the development of methods and procedures for installing, removing and transporting offshore constructions. Main responsibilities: - To prepare and update work packs of procedures methods, drawings etc. for various phases of the work. - To resolve technical queries and recommend alternative solutions to engineering problems related to structural elements. - To prepare detailed calculations on project related structural subjects such as steel arrangements for padeyes, seafastening and grillages. - To prepare detailed calculations on project related installation subjects such as rigging designs, motion analyses and load-out technical planning. - To ensure compliance with engineering standards and relevant codes. - To provide analyses with advanced structural FEM software (SACS, ANSYS). - To produce material and equipment material takeoffs with sufficient information to meet the required technical, quality and safety standards.
