Second-year Applied Medical Sciences student at UCL with a strong interest in healthcare AI, digital health and biotechnology. I have experience in both academic research and software development, having worked on scientific data infrastructure, developer tooling and data-access systems within a biotechnology startup environment. My long-term goal is to work at the intersection of healthcare, technology and AI, helping translate innovative technologies into real-world clinical and research impact.
• Developed Python-based tools to improve researcher access to scientific and operational data. • Built and documented data-access workflows using APIs, caching systems and Jupyter notebooks. • Contributed to backend software development, testing infrastructure and developer tooling. • Worked with cross-functional teams to support data management and research operations. • Participated in the design and implementation of secure authentication and access-control systems.
During my internship at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, I explored PhD-level research projects focused on the development of biomaterials for medical and dental applications. I gained hands-on experience with electrospinning and polymer/bead fabrication, and used SEM and TEM alongside quantitative data analysis to characterise material structure and performance. Working closely with researchers to interpret experimental data and assess early-stage technologies strengthened my interest in how healthcare innovations are analysed, validated, and translated into real-world clinical use.
