Ivica is a commercial professional with more than 10 years of international work experience, either directly on site or in connection with site works. His specializations include commercial project and contract management, budget planning and monitoring, cost control and budget reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis, and the preparation of cost estimates. His experience also encompasses the preparation of contractual valuations, determinations and substantiations, contract change management, cash flow forecasting and monitoring, managing commercial project close-out including agreement of final accounts and the resolution of disputes by conciliation and determination. Prior to his employment with Exyte, Ivica was employed by a leading, independent engineering and consultancy company active in the sectors of energy and infrastructure, where he has gained considerable international experience while working on the company’s global portfolio of engineering and implementation projects in countries all over the world. His focus at Exyte is the commercial management of major programs for key clients in the high-tech industry. During his professional career, Ivica successfully managed various complex programs with values of several hundred million Euros and is working collaboratively with clients to deliver projects on time and in budget. Ivica holds a degree in Business Administration from the HBC University of Applied Science, majoring in Construction & Real Estate. Project Value: US$ 340 million Donors: KfW (Germany), MCC (USA), Norwegian Government Key duties: - Commercial management of six contracts under the provisions of FIDIC - Yellow & Red Book - Monitoring and control of the overall project budget and forecasted final cost - Developing accurate and timely project cost forecasts by using the Cost To Complete method - Analyzing the actual costs versus budgets and advising management on possible risks and deviations as well as proactively proposing corrective actions in case of deviations - Preparing and issuing the cost Estimate At Completion (EAC) and Budget At Completion (BAC) of the project - Preparing and calculating variations and claims in coordination with the project management team - Reviewing the cost impact of changes and incorporating the impact of approved changes into the project control budget and current cost forecast - Controlling and managing the Operating Reserves of the project (project contingencies) - Preparing payment certificates and evaluating outstanding works as per BoQ - Assisting with tendering and procurement, including the pre-qualification stage, preparation of pre-tender cost estimates, tender analysis, tender reports and the compilation of contractual documents - Negotiating claims and facilitating dispute resolution processes - Preparing contractual valuations, determinations and substantiations under the provisions of FIDIC - Managing the commercial project close-out - Producing the project cost and progress reports for project manager and client
Key duties: - Accountable for the project controlling of hydropower consulting and implementation projects to ensure cost-efficient execution - Analyzing and integrating cost estimates and forecasts and supporting the cost estimation process in cooperation with the responsible project manager - Developing appropriate budgets and cash flow in alignment with the project schedule and monitoring these until project completion - Executing and monitoring the quarterly/annual financial planning, budgeting and forecasting and control cycle within the assigned projects and ensuring analysis of any gaps between budget and realization - Providing periodic plan/actual cost comparisons including risk assessments - Analyzing pre-post calculations to derive root causes and lessons learned in relation to the original budget - Ensuring accurate and timely financial data and reporting (profit forecast, plan/actual comparisons, cash flow) - Preparing the periodical project financial statements - Coordinating the internal project closing process - Guarantee and warranty management - Preparing regular project management meetings (kick-off, monthly, close-out) - Implementation of training for project managers in project management software
