I’m Ivar van der Lugt, Product Manager AP Automation at Onventis, with a strong passion for automation and AI-driven innovation. I enjoy building intelligent systems that simplify complex finance processes and turn manual work into scalable, smart automation. My main focus is AI-powered Accounts Payable automation — making incoming invoice processes fully automated, compliant, and future-proof. By combining AI with deep domain knowledge in e-invoicing and regulatory requirements, I translate complex challenges into practical, high-impact product solutions.
I drive innovation in AP Automation at Onventis, focusing on AI invoice recognition, AI Coding, and end-to-end e-invoice compliance across Europe. I work closely with our dedicated development team and align with other teams when needed to deliver intelligent, automation-first solutions that reduce manual effort, increase accuracy, and help organizations navigate new e-invoicing mandates. My role combines product strategy, technical understanding and close customer engagement to shape the next generation of AP processes in the European market.
As Product Owner, I was responsible for three key products within the Exact portfolio: + Exact Online Premium Accounting: Enhancing the platform to better support larger organizations with multiple legal entities. + Exact Proquro (Purchasing): Safeguarding and strengthening core purchasing functionalities through a major technical migration. + Exact SRXP (Expense Management): Improving the user experience and workflow efficiency for creating and managing expense declarations.
For nearly 3.5 years, I supported close to 100 customers in implementing and optimizing their use of Exact Software. My focus was on helping organizations digitalize and automate their business processes, while using data insights to improve performance. I led large-scale implementation projects, collaborated closely with a team of consultants, and acted as the primary point of contact for our customers.
