Professional Officer of the Watch with extensive experience on passenger vessels, and offshore passages. Strong background in watchkeeping, navigation, crew supervision, and deck operations across Mediterranean and ocean-going environments. Seeking a rotational OOW position on a professionally managed yacht where solid seamanship, safety awareness, and teamwork contribute to efficient operations and high onboard standards.
Responsible for safe navigation, bridge watchkeeping, and the implementation of company and international maritime safety standards. Duties include monitoring the vessel’s position, passage execution, and navigational equipment, as well as maintaining navigational charts, publications, and bridge systems. Contribute to the vessel’s safety culture through participation in safety drills, emergency response duties, and ongoing inspections in line with ISM and SOLAS requirements. Provide support to the Senior Watchkeeping Officers and assist with supervising deck operations, including mooring, anchoring, and tender operations. Ensure professional communication, situational awareness, and compliance with company policies to maintain the highest standards of operational safety and guest service.

Served as Deck Officer on high-speed passenger ferries operating between Malta and Sicily. Responsibilities included bridge watchkeeping, monitoring vessel position and track, and ensuring safe navigation in accordance with company procedures and international regulations. Assisted with port operations, including docking, undocking, and coordinating passenger and vehicle movements. Conducted safety rounds, equipment checks, and participated in emergency drills as per ISM and SOLAS requirements. Supported the Senior Officers with daily operational duties while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and passenger service.
Completed a comprehensive Deck Cadet training program aboard commercial vessels managed by Nordic Hamburg, gaining solid operational experience across bridge, deck, and safety departments. Assisted the bridge team with navigational watchkeeping under officer supervision, including monitoring the vessel’s position, radar and AIS observation, logbook entries, and maintaining a high level of situational awareness. Supported voyage planning activities by preparing nautical charts, updating publications, checking navigational warnings, and ensuring the accuracy of passage plans in accordance with company and international standards. Participated in the operation and testing of navigational equipment such as ECDIS, radar, GMDSS systems, and gyro/automatic steering controls.
