I had a dual responsibility being part of help desk team and playing a role in the Security Operations Center. Responsibilities: * Implementing and configuring Zabbix for network monitoring of client systems . * Conducted ongoing vulnerability assessments using the Rapid7 InsightVM product to identify and address security vulnerabilities in computer systems. * Successfully configured and implemented SIEM solutions, specifically FortiSIEM and InsightIDR, in client environments * Leveraged problem-solving and technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with various computer systems, including endpoint desktops and server machines.
* Successfully implemented the Nessus vulnerability scanner, conducting comprehensive scans to assess the security of the environment. * Configured and managed IBM QRadar SIEM, enhancing the university's threat detection and response capabilities. * Actively managed Sophos EDR, ensuring robust endpoint security across the campus, which included managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP), web application controls, and application controls. * Assisted in the construction of practical cybersecurity labs for master's degree students.
