Axon Global has been engaged to operate under the Cybersecurity Act of 2015, Division N, pursuant to Axon's Contract with DHS Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), whereby Axon is authorized to monitor for threats, share threat information and defend against material threats to national, homeland and/or critical infrastructure security. The request was made by National Director of Operations for there Task Force on National and Homeland Security, a Task Force of the EMP Commission. The EMP Commission was re-established in 2016 by the U.S. Congress to protect the electric grid and other critical infrastructures, including increasing threats from cyber warfare and physical attack.
