Hi, my name is Isobel Letizia. I am an incoming MSW Student at UNC Chapel Hill and a recent graduate from Rhodes College with a BA double major in Psychology and Health Equity. I have a variety of work experiences in the areas of non-profit and public health. Interning with OUTMemphis, Samaritan Counseling Centers, and Youth Villages has enhanced my knowledge and ability to work with queer youth and people experiencing mental health challenges. As a Bonner Leader and member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, I have developed a deep passion for enhancing communities through mental health research and outreach. In particular, I am aiming to make positive change in the areas of mental health and wellness.
- Conducted community-outreach advertising, content creation, designing flyers, researching and going through on-site historical records, and assisting with event planning. - Gave 130+ hours of service.
- Served the Memphis community by aiding nonprofit organizations through 10 hours of weekly service and leadership meetings. - Planned and executed community events, communicating with staff and community members. - Built relationships with local youth attending the PRYSM program through facilitated activities.
- Participated in group counseling sessions. - Gained experience with clinical documentation and electronic medical record systems. - Collaborated in treatment team and consultation meetings, and received individual supervision.
- Conducted data analysis for a menstrual health equity project, literature reviews, and outreach for project events. - Furthering my knowledge in Public Health by completing the Mini-Master of Public Health course and by working directly with professionals.
