As duty manager, I am responsible for ensuring the operation of the store when the store managers are not present. This includes delegating tasks to the team, resolving complex customer complaints and mitigating theft/reporting incidents through the appropriate channels. I monitor the email inbox, responding and escalating where necessary, as well as taking any phone queries, both internal and external. I am responsible for the safety of my staff on shift and, as a testament to my dedication, I was voted into the Safety Team by my fellow workers and management.
Delivering exceptional table-service, including taking orders, managing and running food and beverages and sustaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Responsible for managing bookings, including inputting reservations and preparing and executing large functions.
Building relationships with regular customers, including learning and memorising their names and orders, and remembering key details about their lives. Responsible for handling both cash and eftpos transactions, maintaining a well-organised and balanced till with no error. This includes counting the register and comparing to daily sales to ensure accuracy.
Developing excellent customer service skills, including handling difficult customers and resolving conflict, cultivating a happy and friendly affect, and building a rapport with regular customers. Responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within store. Excellent time management skills, developed from working in a time assessed, high pressure environment.
