Involves curating weekly graphics to support and drive our marketing efforts. This requires regular communication with the committee and working collaboratively to advertise upcoming events. I adapt my designs based on feedback and ensure all graphics produced align with charity branding, messaging and goals.
Dress To Waste Less is a student-led initiative dedicated to promoting and encouraging sustainable fashion. Starting this initiative in school, the council supported me to develop the project further in 2025. The internship included: -Exploring options for DTWL to become a constituted entity -Researching the viability of continuing and expanding the prom hire project -Developing presentations and learning resources for schools on fast fashion, its impacts, and opportunities for action -Conducting research into what young people want to learn — including hand sewing, visible mending, embroidery, alterations, upcycling and basic repairs -Using this research to support communications and funding bids -Creating a social media plan, including a code of conduct and posting process -Supporting young people to plan and run events -Developing a sustainability and “business” plan for the future of the project
I took part in a 10-week investment competition for girls in Scottish schools, where we learned about investing, explored what it’s like to work in finance, and built valuable skills. In a team, we worked with an investment professional from Baillie Gifford as our Competition Coach to analyse a company and gave an investment recommendation. We pitched Hologic, delivering a clear and well-researched investment recommendation.
