I am a second-year engineering student at the University of Cambridge, interested in embedded systems and software development to drive innovations in the aerospace industry 🚀
Designed Printed Circuit Boards and programmed flight software using C for Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi Microcontrollers for various projects.
- Achieved 2nd Position and Most Resourceful Team award - High-powered rocketry competition involving the launch of a rocket carrying a CanSat - Designed and manufactured a CanSat - Designed PCB and Raspberry Pi flight software interfacing with IMU, barometer, pollutant sensor, GPS, LoRa modules - Developed ESP32-based ground station for payload tracking - Designed 3D-printed mounts for payload integration
Designed EduCube, a 1U balloon nanosatellite - 3D modelled and printed satellite and Ground Station (GS) frames to house the On-board Computer (OBC), sensors, battery, radio antenna, camera, and other components - Programmed OBC, a custom ESP32 microcontroller, to control peripherals and the GS to send/receive messages to/from satellite Designed a custom bootloader for an STM32 microcontroller - Developed a custom Over-The-Air (OTA) protocol to flash into the internal memory of the microcontroller accurately - Wrote custom functions to reprogram flash memory
- Assembled electronic tank systems responsible for precise concrete curing - Coded algorithms to automate lengthy tasks to expedite data procurement and analysis
- Investigated effectiveness of Carbon Nanotube Composites as electrical storage and structural support for Electrical Aerial Vehicles - Presented project at the Singapore Science and Engineering Fair Finals 2024 - Mentored by Dr Derrick Fam Wen Hui
