Hello! My name is Isabella Castillo and I am a doctoral candidate (ABD) in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. I earned my master's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland and my bachelor's degrees in International Studies and Italian from Indiana University. My research is broadly centered on disability, policing, health, and well-being. Particularly, I am interested in understanding how individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their loved ones comprehend, interact, and are affected by the justice system and its actors.
