In May 2022 I graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Environment & Sustainability. I’m passionate about environmental justice and policy and skilled at communicating environmental issues through writing and social media.
I currently manage and schedule social media across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Bluesky, formerly Twitter as well). I maintain relationships with community organizations and other partners by engaging in meetings and community events. I also contribute research and occasionally write articles myself, help with grant applications, and post on our website.
I pitched, researched, wrote, and edited stories on climate resilience and designed social media content for Instagram, including graphic posts and interactive quizzes. I also supported journalists with editorial tasks, including fact-checking and newsletter creation.
I am working on a project focusing on the threat of sea level rise in the Canal community of San Rafael, one of the most vulnerable areas in the Bay.
I helped promote the Whale Alert app to reduce ship strikes with whales on the West Coast.
I researched and interviewed local environmental experts and community members and wrote articles for MarinCAN's monthly newsletter.
I am developing an individualized curriculum, based on popular children's books, to improve reading, writing, comprehension, and critical thinking skills in a middle school student.
