I worked in a tight-knit team with one other student consultant, leading engagement with the marketing team at a listed pharmaceuticals manufacturer to develop a value proposition. This involved researching and fit-testing various software packages to create a survey experiment for the manufacturer's target client base, and using our selected software to build a questionnaire for distribution. Throughout, I liaised frequently with the head of marketing to ensure progress and drive efficiency.
As a tutor in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths (STEAM), I delivered lesson plans to encourage an interest in science, engineering, medicine, and debating subjects. My role was to identify students' individual needs and tailor my teaching style to address these and build confidence. This involved working with children of high-profile clients, holding sole responsibility over classes of five to ten children aged 4-16.
I worked with the research team within UEA's medical school to co-author two systematic review studies, both of which have been published in scientific journals. This involved distilling large amounts of information, producing spreadsheets and documents outlining key details, and screening datasets of over 14,000 studies using specific inclusion/exclusion criteria to select relevant studies. I verified the lead researcher's data extraction from selected studies, and carried out citation searches from selected studies. I also performed data extraction on selected studies to provide supplementary information to our study. Our latest paper is a rapid mapping review, currently being evaluated by journals for publication.
