Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), specializing in control systems, AI, and offshore renewable energy. I hold a Ph.D. in Control Engineering, Automation, and Robotics (Cum Laude, International Doctorate) with research focused on hybrid wind-wave platforms, nonlinear modeling, and real-time optimization. Experienced in international academic collaboration and applied R&D, with publications in top-tier journals and teaching roles in Spain, Australia, and Pakistan. Passionate about advancing sustainable energy technologies through intelligent control and automation.
Developed a control-oriented nonlinear time-domain framework for floating offshore wind turbines integrating aero–hydro–servo–mooring dynamics with oscillating water column (OWC) systems. The model enables direct access to platform states for feedback control design and has been validated against OpenFAST benchmarks. Designed and evaluated mooring configurations for floating platforms, demonstrating mooring-induced pitch stabilization through anchor-radius optimization and catenary geometry tuning. Results show significant reduction in pitch RAO peaks and resonance shift, providing a strong basis for passive–active control co-design in offshore renewable systems. Published research in high-impact journals, contributing to hybrid wind–wave energy systems, nonlinear modeling, and control-oriented simulation frameworks using WEC-Sim, WAMIT, and MATLAB/Simulink.
Conduct comprehensive investigations into the management of wind-wave hybrid systems in Adelaide, Australia. Participate in collaborative research initiatives and foster academic exchanges with fellow researchers.
