Hardworking passionate professional with a proven background in biology, especially in hygiene and food safety as well as in ecology (the role of biofilms). PhD in Biology with more than 15 years studying biofilms and collaborating with national and international research centres and universities. Leadership in multidisciplinary teams, communication skills with a demonstrated capacity to spread the obtained results in conferences, with initiative and decisive capacity and with a perseverant and flexible mindset. Developed as a professional in the field of hygiene and food safety where I gained valuable experience in food quality issues (microbiological food problems, safe food procedures, cleaning plans, risk assessment, APPCC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 etc.) and in the last years focused on solutions for the detection and removal of biofilms in the food industry. Professionally, I am interested in functions related to science and business (research and development, innovation, project management) looking for solutions for the hygiene and food safety sector. Nowadays working as a Freelance Consultant I take the lead conducting hygiene on-site evaluations, hygiene audits and trainings to help the food companies maintain the highest standards in food safety.
Worked with river restoration, fish connectivity, dam’s removal, electrofishing, macroinvertebrate samplings and environmental education.
