I am musicologist, filmologist and writer; my main field of interest is film music, but also (theater and film) musical, classical music, film, theatre and music for theatre shows, popular music, crossover, music for video games, and, more recently, jazz. I am film music scholar with comprehensive theoretical body of work on film music and film sound published. I am also highly experienced music pedagogue lecturing students of different ages, different backgrounds and different levels of the musical education. I studied musicology at Music Academy, Zagreb and specialized film music at European Film College in Denmark. During the study at Zagreb Music Academy, I was awarded with the University's Rector's Award. I earned my PhD degree from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb. I am mentor professor at the Franjo Lučić Art School in Velika Gorica, Croatia, and full professor (title) of film music courses at the Academy of Dramatic Art and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. I am a long-time collaborator of the Croatian National Radio. I wrote more than seven hundred scientific and professional articles, studies, and essays mostly on film music, but also (film and classical) music critics, and other writings on music. I am an author of four books on film music: "Music from the Screen" (which was the first book on Croatian film music), "Brainstorming" (which contains short, brainstorming, papers on different types film music), "Kubrick's Music Odyssey" (which gives an insight to Stanley Kubrick's film' music), and "Theory of Film Music Through Theory of Sound". I also wrote a scenario for documentary film of Croatian Television, "Conversation on Music and Film" directed by Ante Rozic.
Franjo Lučić Art school was pronounced the best school-member of Croatian Music Pedagogues' Society in 2024. Here I teach several subjects: History of Music, Music Theory, Solfeggio and Film Music, and participate or lead different projects, among them, eTwinning projects of the European School Education Platform.
Currently I am teraching History of Classical Music (teenagers), Theory of music (teenagers), Solfeggio for kids and Solfeggio for adults, as well as Film music (teenagers) which is the subject I introduced to the current school curiculum in the school year 2021/2022.
At Academy of Dramatic Arts I teach History of Film Music.
Occasionally I write an article - like a concert review or a report - on film music events in Europe.

Being a classical musican (musicologist) specialized in film music, I cover all types of articles, mostly the ones concerning writing (reports, critics, reviews) about film music spectacles, classical music concerts, festivals, new productions of musicals etc.
