The Laboratory for AI, Machine Learning, Business & Data Analytics (LAMBDA) at Tel-Aviv University focuses on research, development and collaboration activities in the areas of artificial intelligence, big data analytics and data science, with a strong emphasis on real-life industrial challenges. The main goal of the lab is to bridge the gap between academia and industry while relying on advanced research methods to develop cutting-edge data science tools and applications. It aims to serve as a hub of collaboration, enabling scholars and students to work collaboratively on practical data-science challenges, while exposing the industry to pioneering research methods and to the next generation of analytics tools. Professor Irad Ben-Gal is the Head of the Industrial Engineering & Management Program at Tel Aviv University. His area of expertise includes applied probability, machine learning and data-mining applications to industrial and service organizations. He wrote and edited six books, has published more than 80 scientific papers and patents, received numerous best papers awards and supervised dozens of graduate students.
