Welding and Material Engineer in Material Section Project : MERO II & MERO IV Client : PETROBRAS *Roles and Responsibilities:- 1) Review, comments and approve document from vendor/ Contractor (Shipyard) pertaining to welding such as WPS, PQR, NDT Procedure, PWHT records according to SBM Specification, Client Specification and Code and Standard. 2) Review, comment and approve welding sequence related to fabrication at site for critical equipment related to welding such boiler, Pump, Turret, winch, piping and others. 3) Prepare deviation with regards to client specification and the SBM specification and prepare Technical Query Deviation with appropriate justification. 4) Review, comment and approve Non-Destructive Procedure for welding activities submitted from vendor/ Contractor prior to start Fabrication at yard and workshop. 5) Solving fabrication issues related to welding and NDT for Turret fabrication at site and workshop. 6) Review, comment and release Inspection and Test Plan for fabrication involve with welding submitted from Vendor and Contractor. 7) Advise Contractor/ Vendor with regards to welding and NDT for fabrication, installation and operation.
Scope of work : Site Quality Lead Client :ENI East Sepingan Ltd. Project : Merakes - Subsea Manifold, Subsea installation valve, Suction Pile, Pigging Loop, Mid Water Arch and Riser system for Tie-back to Jangkrik Project size : $USD700 Million (RM 2.8 Billion) upon Awards Location : PT Singatac, Bintan Island, Indonesia. Review and study client specification, international code and contract prior project execution and during project execution. Review, witness and approve Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) develop for project specification. Communicate and transfer relevant project requirement to supplier and contractor. Manage and control all QC inspector personal at site with regards to QC control. Manage and control site activities before, during and after fabrication of all subsea scope. Communicate with Project team, construction team, Engineering, main contractor, subcontractor with regards to quality, equipment, safety, progress, budget and construction during project execution.
Scope of work: Site Quality Engineer cum. Welding Engineer in TechnipFMC Client : Shell Project : Subsea Manifold, Suction Pile and Pigging Loop for Gumusut Kakap Phase II – Extension Project size : $USD26 Million (RM 98.8Million) upon Awards Location : MMHE Fabrication Yards, Pasir Gudang, Johor. Review and study client specification and contract prior project execution and during project execution. Review, witness and approve Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) develop for project specification. Communicate and transfer relevant project requirement to supplier and subcontractor during development of the project procedure and execution. Review, comments, and approve relevant project procedure, method statement, ITP, form and report during project execution. Conduct root cause analysis for high impact Non-conformance such as crack, mechanical damage, out of dimension etc. Manage, control and monitoring supplier and subcontractor with regards to project quality and safety requirement. Join surveillance and inspection with client, supplier and subcontractor during project execution.
Conduct Kick-off and Workshop with more than 30 Package Contractor once awarded regarding project requirement, contractual and international standard. Review and approve proposed WPS and WPS from Package Contract Review and approve WPS, PQR, WQT, Procedure, ITP from Package Contractor. Develop welding related procedure base on client specification and code and standard. Witness, review and approve mechanical testing for new qualification procedure and mock up specimen. Liaise with Engineering and resolve construction issued related to welding at site and workshop. Prepare and analysis of welding rejection rate for all 12 packages contractor, issued warning letter, conduct training and evaluation. Issued official report to top management and all package contractor. Prepare, review and approve blasting, painting, GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy), insulation and coating procedure, ITP, and method statement from package contractor according to Client specification, project specification and international code. Review and witness the painting test panel qualification, Holiday testing and pull-off test for blasting and painting activity from package contractor. Perform monitoring, review and audit to package contractor for continual improvement on safety and quality throughout the project.
Scope of work : Supplier Quality Engineer for OUI JV (Technip & Fluor JV) Client : PETRONAS (Sub-directorate 4) Project : RAPID – UIO (Utilities, Interconnecting and Offsite) Package 14 *Roles and Responsibilities:- 1)Perform Quality and Technical evaluation during tendering and bidding for selected bidders on subcontractor and supplier for packages such Mechanical, Electrical, Fabricated Tanks, Camp and others. 2)Attend Technical Clarification meeting with selected bidders with regards to Technical and Quality. 3)Perform final evaluation and rating for bidder with regards to Technical and Quality documentation. 4)Develop Project Quality Procedure, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), and Information to Bidding (ITB) base on specification, code and work instruction. 5)Prepare and develop Quality dashboard tracking inspection for subcontractor and vendor monitoring during execution. 6)Provide Technical support in term of Welding and NDT for early project construction. 7)Prepare and conduct presentation on Advance NDT to Client for alternative to expedite Construction and Installation.

1)Develop WPS base on new qualification of Welding Procedure Qualification Test (WPQT) or prequalified from previous Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) on previous project. 2) Manage welding for subsea equipment eg. Wellhead, Manifold Gate Valve and others. 3) Proposed, plan and conduct WPQT base on code, standard and client specification. 4) Evaluate welder performance to meet client requirement. 5) Provide and approve welding sequence for critical assembly production joints. 6) Provide root cause analysis for crack, distortion, and defect problems.
