I am a tender engineer dredging. The dredging market is global and represented in all continents. This gives me a nice challenge and opportunity to work on complex EPCI and T&I tenders in countries worldwide As a tender engineer I am responsible for tender management together with the tender manager. we often work on multiple tenders simultaneously. We have a multidisciplinary team of about 25 colleagues from various departments such as engineering, procurement, transport and installation responsible for reclamations, revetments or quays. Scopes vary from the reclamation of islands and land to the construction of terminals or new ports. Small tenders are around 5 million, big ones several billion. We work closely together with partners, consultants and clients to come up with the most suitable answer for the client so they can win a concession in the auction round tenders and carry out the project in an effective and efficient way. This is an iterative process which requires business trips, clarification meetings and workshops to come up with the most optimized and suitable answer. I love the challenging work with a multicultural team in an international market while at the same time contributing to a better greener world. Van Oord a true ticket to the world!
As the chairwomen of the board I am responsible to keep the helicopter view over all our activities ( event planning, budgets, communication, sponsorship, legal, etc ) I play an active role in preparing and Chairing our monthly meetings so we can work as effectively and efficiently possible as a team.
As the vice chairman of YoungShip Belgium I am responsible for the communication team, I also contribute to sponsoring and I help/represent our chairman with his activities for YoungShip Belgium.
