I help organizations turn field work into software that field workers will actually use. My background is 14+ years in outside plant fiber optics — designing routes, supervising builds, leading regional operations, and running acceptance for large-scale rollouts. I’ve stood in the trenches (sometimes literally) and signed off on the work. Today I sit on the other side of that table: as a business analyst and project manager in a consultancy’s digital enablement practice, building the software that field crews use to do the job I used to lead. What I’ve found is that the patterns travel. A fiber acceptance team, a data center commissioning crew, a municipal inspections unit, and a traffic enforcement field operation all share the same fundamentals — geospatial truth, offline-first design, and the trust of the people on the ground. The vertical changes; the craft doesn’t.
