With over twenty years of experience, I am a dedicated Plastic Surgeon specialising in burn care, scar management, and body contouring. Currently, I serve as the Group Clinical Director at 152 Harley Street and The London Scar Clinic, where I am focused on elevating patient care and clinical outcomes. I trained across the London and Oxford regions, where I was immersed in national centres of excellence for surgical reconstruction. This led on to an initial role as Honorary Consultant at the Royal London Hospital where I spearheaded the development of a pioneering burn facility service. I am deeply committed to research, education, and evidence-based practice. As the Director of Academic Plastic Surgery programs at Queen Mary University of London, I continually strive to enhance surgical education. As an active educator I deliver workshops globally on scar management and contribute as a peer reviewer for leading medical journals. Additionally, my work is extensively published, with over sixty peer-reviewed journal articles to my name. My global training across the Indian subcontinent, South America, and the Orient has provided extensive experience in the management of burns and scars. This exposure has helped to develop my unique consultation approach; grounded in psychodynamic principles, enabling a deeper understanding of the impacts of burn injuries and scars on individual lives. This insight helps me collaborate effectively with my patients and apply innovative surgical and non-surgical treatments, considering both appearance and function, to achieve their surgical goals. In addition to my enthusiasm for clinical practice and academic research, I also work as a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation, and I have had the privilege of sharing my expertise on national television, furthering public understanding of plastic surgery.
