ProteinLab is an interdisciplinary ICT Research Group of Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana in Santiago, Chile. ProteinLab studies the impact of using digital and sustainable technologies to design and development for new products and interactions between people and their environment. Through study and analysis of future scenarios, emerging technologies and trends ProteinLab develops applied research oriented to design and to test new products, applications and services in the following areas: ICT and Innovation, Connectivity and Access Digital, Interaction Design and Ambient Intelligent, and Sustainable Energy. Specialties: Innovation and ICT, Interaction Design, Tangible Interfaces, Experiences Design, Ambient Intelligent, Living Labs, Smart Cities.

Proyecto adjudicado en el Séptimo Programa Marco de la Unión Europea con el objetivo de potenciar la Investigación TIC entre la Unión Europea y Latinoamérica. El proyecto Foresta es ejecutado en Latinoamérica por un consorcio de investigación representado en Chile por ProteinLab UTEM y trabaja en conjunto con la U. de Palermo (Argentina), la U. de Sao Paulo (Brasil), Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (México), CINTEL (Colombia) y ALETI. En Europa trabajamos en conjunto con Rose Vision (España), TESEO (Bélgica y Europe for Bussines (Inglaterra)
