    Enrolled in a PhD at NUI Galway, Group Conor O´Byrne. This project is part of the Horizon 2020 project Pathsense, which is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship. During the project my main work is to develop predictive modeling of bacterial heat inactivation and growth in food products. I also did some genetic work during my work placement in Dundee. The project has multiple trainings I attended: - Writing a grand proposal lead by Prof. Christine Zielger and Dr. Ian Booth - Popular science writing workshop organised by Dr Nicholas Johnson - Microscopy workshop lead by Prof. Bert Poolman - Journal club exercise lead by Prof. Conor O´Byrne and Prof. Jörgen Johansson - Workshop on intellectual property - Proteomics workshop including microscopy lead by Dr. Jan Pané-Farré, Prof. Rick Lewis and Dr. Jon Marles Wright I also attended trainings which were initiated during my work placementent in Dundee and during my work at Nestle. For example: My personal resilience, Predictive microbiology, Food safety for project management, Basic Level 1 HACCP training and Advanced Excel – Functions, tricks and short-cuts. I attended 2 conferences: 1. Microbial stress: from systems to molecules and back (Kinsale 23-25 April 2018), and it satellite meeting: List_MAPS, Foodborn pathogens: from farm to pharmacy (26 April 2018). On both meetings I presented a poster. 2. IAFP's European Symposium on Food Safety (Nantes April 2019), where I gave a presentation about my heat inactivation work.
