Passion I have been fascinated by horses for as long as I can remember. Dressage, jumping, or simply riding through the woods – every free moment of my childhood was spent with horses. My character has always been to learn more, to understand how things work, and to translate that into practice. At 16, this curiosity led me to complete the ORUN instructor training in both dressage and show jumping, making me one of the youngest instructors at the time. Studies I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from HAS Larenstein Agricultural University, specializing in animal health and nutrition within horse husbandry, and completed electives in business & consultancy. After my studies, I worked several years abroad in international dressage and show jumping stables, which deepened my knowledge of training and confirmed my passion for nutrition as the foundation of health and performance. Nutrition Back in the Netherlands, I worked as a nutritionist for horses and founded Fibra Paardenvoeders, a fiber-based feed line designed to address diet-related issues such as colic, laminitis, gastric ulcers, eczema, insulin resistance, and stable vices. What began as a pioneering project has grown into a well-known brand in the Netherlands and Belgium and contributed to a turning point in equine nutrition: a move away from grain-based feeds towards more natural, fiber-rich options – now embraced by many major feed companies. Approach Alongside my work in nutrition, I trained young sport horses and guided riders of all levels. Over time, I realized that nutrition, management, and wellbeing are just as important as physical training. The most rewarding part of my work is seeing a horse transform after just a few weeks on a tailored feeding plan – literally and figuratively feeling better in its own skin. I don’t just tell owners what to do; I want them to understand why and how it helps their horse. Today Now living in Italy, I am building a new chapter. With my knowledge, experience, and network, I continue guiding horse owners with practical and tailored feeding advice. I share my work through two platforms: Paard en Voer en Gezondheid (PVG) in the Netherlands and Alimentazione Cavallo Salute (ACS) in Italy – both created to offer practical tips, inspiring blogs, and personal advice for horse owners.
