Research internship on Francophone question answering. - Conducted experiments on the FQuAD2.0 dataset (SQuAD-like dataset with 80,000+ answerable and unanswerable questions owned by Illuin Technology) to help Francophone models exceed human performance. Performed cross-lingual evaluations using multilingual models such as XLM-R. - Improved Information Retrieval scores by implementing innovative approaches such as acronym extraction and detection.
Worked for two Business Units: ENGIE Solutions France and ENGIE France Renouvelables (renewables). Corporate Green Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) are gaining momentum in Europe. In 2019, ENGIE Solutions France signed a Green PPA with ENGIE Green, so as to enable its clients to buy electricity from a new-built solar park, at a set price and for a set number of years. Because of their medium size, these clients would not have been given such an opportunity otherwise. As an intern, I was in charge of designing a platform to monitor this Green PPA by : - Analyzing the clients' needs, - Designing the platform's features and, - Creating a first prototype on Microsoft Power BI®.
