I’m a cancer biologist and translational researcher specializing in epigenetic mechanisms in cancer immunology and fibrosis. As Group Leader of the Ex-Emmy Noether Research Group “Epigenetic Machineries and Cancer” at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), I led research on how chromatin regulators drive disease progression — and how we can target them. But throughout my academic journey, from a small village in India to one of Europe’s top research institutes, I’ve seen the same challenge play out: Scientific breakthroughs struggle to translate. Innovative targets, promising data, and early discoveries often get lost between academia and biotech — not due to lack of potential, but due to lack of structure, guidance, or access to the right tools. To address this, I founded: 🚀 PlexoA GmbH A boutique service firm providing: 1. Scientific & R&D due diligence 2. Market & competitive landscape analysis 3. Strategic Business & Development (BD) support for biotech, investors, and translational teams 🧬 PlexoBio (early stage) A platform aim to offer AI and Blockchain powered: 1. Custom preclinical models (oncology/fibrosis) access with pre-clinical and molecular data 2. Human biospecimen access with clinical and molecular data 3. Support for drug discovery, drug delivery, target validation and biomarker discovery My mission is simple: To bridge the gap between deep science and real-world impact. We make the inaccessible accessible. 🔍 Open to: • SAB & advisory roles • R&D and BD collaborations • Sponsored research and partnerships Let’s connect if you’re building something bold in epigenetics, oncology, tumor-immunology, fibrosis or translational science.
1. Provide confidential scientific due diligence and market insights to biotech, VC, and academic TTOs 2. Scope R&D strategies and help position emerging technologies in oncology, fibrosis, and epigenetics 3. Bridge academic innovation with commercial validation pathways
1. Help to develop and commercialize preclinical models and biospecimen services 2. Serve biotech clients seeking translational readiness in oncology drug development 3. Help to build infrastructure for tissue access, model validation, and early-stage partnerships
1. Lead research on chromatin regulators in cancer progression and therapy resistance 2. Established in vivo and in vitro models for translational epigenetics 3. Mentor interdisciplinary team, collaborate with national and international biotech partners 4. Secured over €1.6 million in third-party funding for cutting-edge cancer research
- Research project ‘Molecular Mechanisms in disease’ management and delivered results for publications - Planned and conducted pre-clinical mouse model based experiments - Recorded and analysed data following Good Laboratory Practices - Reported scientific data to management in weekly, monthly and annual meetings - Communicated research key findings to scientific community through participating in national and international conferences/meetings - Wrote animal permits for ethical approval for the execution of animal experiments following 3R principle - Transferred knowhow and experience of lung fibrosis research to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and triggered liver cancer research - Delivered one co-corresponding author original research paper and three conference paper.
- Initiated Research Topic ‘Metabolism and Epigenetics’ - Built international team of five editors to share the editorial responsibilities and spread out the workload - Supervised the review process by providing the initial evaluation of the manuscript and then assigning it to Reviewers - Wrote editorial
