ISO/TC 207/SC 3 is the ISO sub-committee with responsibility for standardization in the field of communication on environmental aspects of products (i.e., goods and services), including related social and economic aspects. Such communication includes various types of an environmental statement (e.g., self-declared claims, ecolabelling, environmental product declarations and environmental footprints) and their associated programmes.
Under the direction of SES/1/2, BSI is responsible for Environmental Management - Environmental performance evaluation, environmental auditing, reporting, environmental labelling and related environmental investigations.
Under the direction of SES/1, is responsible for the preparation of British Standards in the field of Environmental Management Systems, and for liaison with QS/1, as appropriate, on matters of common concern. It is also responsible for the UK input to ISO/TC 207/SC 1 and its working groups.
