Responsible for the mechanical development of an ECU for electronic power steering systems (EPAS). - Taking part in the mechanical design process (3D, 2D data creation, tolerance calculation, DFMEA etc.) and coordinating it from early concept phase to the start of production - Close co-operation with the electrical design team - Close co-operation with suppliers and other teams within the company (responsibles for customer communication, purchasing, quality, industrialisation etc.), taking part in customer meetings. - Giving support for production development process from product development side.
Development of mechanical components and systems (building 3D CAD models, creating concepts, design and optimisation of parts with regard to the requirements of manufacturing processes, evaluation of measurement reports, making tolerance calculations, creating 2D drawings and documentations). Keeping contact with colleagues from other locations and suppliers. Close cooperation with the plant. 2013 - : Instrument cluster development – Mechanical development of parts – Keeping contact with suppliers – Support for manufacturing line installation from construction - side / close cooperation with the plant 2014 - : Localisation of European cluster variants in China – Keeping conatct with the Chinese colleagues (purchasing, mechanical development, plant) – Giving support for the project from mechanical side / synchronisation of the project with the EU variant – Mechanical development of parts – Taking part in the supplier nomination process / keeping contact with suppliers
