About

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to visit my LinkedIn page. Well, I'm a Capricorn with dreamy blue eyes and a lover of a fine labradoodle! Opps, wrong profile. I served as a Marine and then later as an AZANG Soldier. To go from the Marines to the Guard was like a five-star hotel getting demoted to a four-star. You can still be proud, but you miss the better days. I am somewhat educated, well traveled, funny, authentic, reasonable, and yada yada with a great demeanor. Not a fan of Hitler though so if you are, then it's not going to work out, sorry. My work experience includes working for fantastic entities such as Apple, UPS, The U of Michigan, Google, The Hyatt, The USMC, The AZNG and other companies that start with "The". These opportunities gave me a wealth of knowledge in leadership, attention to detail, customer service, computer skills, critical thinking and effective communication. However, there was always something else pulling me, a force... For me to be happy (and you want happy sheep) the following principles must exist or Jim will die. Respect - Treat everyone regardless of race, religion, political affiliation, as a valued asset based on their skill set and the attributes they bring to the company. Empowerment - Allowing all members the opportunity to make decisions as a valued and trusted member of the team. Advancement - Eliminating ceilings and creating an environment where there is room to grow and be continually challenged. Communication - Providing an environment that has established policies to discuss member concerns or ideas. Transparency - Providing all employees information about policies, procedures, and paychecks. I do not believe in the Autocratic leadership style. With all of that being said, I am not looking for any jobs that require "teams". Warm regards, Jim
