Launched and managed the nascent data-science function at Rosetta Stone. Conducted ad-hoc analyses to provide product and user insights to product development and business intelligence teams. Socialized new tools and approaches for getting insights from data.
Improved the pedagogical quality of Rosetta Stone products by reviewing content for learning efficacy and user experience. Initiated the use of online learning data for evaluating learner experience. Improved the quality and consistency of user-facing marketing communications and technical documentation by implementing company-wide editorial services for product accuracy and company style. Developed a quantitative basis for assessing the quality of Rosetta Stone language-learning content so that business stakeholders could make informed decisions about product improvements.
Recruited and assembled the content-development organization (writers, editors, project managers, language experts, audio engineers, photographers, and producers) needed for Rosetta Stone’s new product initiative. Led the content-development team through the creation of the Rosetta Stone Version 3 curriculum that is the foundation of Rosetta Stone’s flagship product to this day. Initiated and implemented a system for tracking labor and expenses by project to inform budgeting, GAAP accounting, and for establishing benchmarks for future projects.
