From dreadlocked hippie to digital marketing and e-commerce expert (with peace & love still intact โ๏ธ). I've spent almost 20 years working in and around e-commerce. Along the way: scaling Newpharma to acquisition, leading marketing at Deliveroo Belgium, and as fractional CMO at Pit&Pit and My American Shop. Today I'm E-commerce Retail Expert at Xplore Group and on the board of BAM, the Belgian Association of Marketing. What I keep coming back to: retailers stuck in the plateau. The ones who built something solid a little decade ago and can feel the growth curve flattening. New channels they're weighing up. A tech stack that's started to feel heavier than it should. Teams that are busy, but not quite compounding. I don't think there's one magic answer to that, especially not with the ground shifting under everyone's feet at the pace it currently is. But in my experience, what's usually missing isn't more tactics. The solution is hidden in the gaps between visionary goals, commercial ambition, technical reality and people. And those gaps only widen when things move fast. I love connecting all of those dots, loose ends, and making sure "que la mayonnaise prend" ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ณ. Consider me a human glue stick if you want. I also write, speak, and sit on panels on digital commerce and marketing โ always more than happy to swap notes with people thinking about the same things. Let's grab coffee. I have two kids and a puppy. I need one.
I help retail and e-commerce organisations accelerate their transition towards data-driven, omnichannel businesses. In my role, I bridge business strategy and technology execution, working closely with clients and cross-functional teams across the group to define, shape, and deliver impactful digital initiatives.
I don't publish all projects and details below. Don't hesitate to ask. In general: I help build and grow online businesses through marketing, often in e-commerce. I freelance for companies going through change, growth and (digital) transformation. I help provide leadership, structure and processes to build great foundations for growth. Chances are this sounds too vague. I did it on purpose to keep you intrigued. Hit me up for a coffee (you get free cookies if you get where the company name comes from).
