An entrepreneurial financial and a financial entrepreneur, both apply as long as I can use my talents to do good. I am a believer in regeneration as the way forward, finding solutions in the wisdom of nature rather than going against it. FINANCIAL: My professional career kicked of at Rebel, a purpose driven financial advisory firm where I soon focused on renewable energy. Enthusiastic about financial puzzles I was trained by the best in modelling and project finance, contributing to several of first large scale locally owned onshore wind farms in the Netherlands. ENTREPRENEUR: In the second chapter of my career I co-founded IN.credible, where we organised EUR 1,03 billion of financing for renewables; advising a.o. wind, solar, food and regenerative initiatives. We built a team of 10 professionals and now my idea generating and visionary side got room to grow. With my enthusiasm and dead honest approach I build connections: between people, initiatives and capital. DO GOOD: Looking back, the first real signs of my drive to do good showed at the age of 14, when we voluntarily organised a day trip to the Efteling (amusement park) for kids of the refugee centre nearby. I got a weekend job at an elderly care institution at 16 and organised a fund raiser whilst at university. During my masters I went on a research trip after winning a McKinsey business course; to investigate our idea aimed at improving income perspectives for the bottom of the pyramid in Africa. Almost two decades later I realise these side activities haven’t been a coincidence. Over the last years I am increasingly inspired by the topic of regeneration, helping out initiatives and sharing this inspiration through (key-note) speeches. I think it is time we start to live like we want to remain on this beautiful planet. And I will continue to do so in my new role at GreenTrust.
Started of as small informal diner group, grew to a voluntary-based team with whom we organise semi-annual events, growing a network of 150+ women in the sector.
Co-founded IN.credible, a financial advisory boutique with the mission to use our financial experience for a more beautiful world. Grew a team of ten, together raised EUR 1,03 billion, advising wind, solar, warmth, food and regenerative projects. I further developed my debt & equity arranging skills, but learned most of the entrepreneurial journey: building and a client and relations network, training and motivating a team, thinking outside the box, learn to trust your gut, and deal with many ‘first-times’.
