Electrical rehabilitation/upgrade and modification of 100 man House Boat.
Carried out troubleshooting and maintenance of 5.5HP three phase submersible pump and wiring system. After diagnosis I ensured generator frequency, phase to phase voltage, cable sizing, insulation resistance, direction of impeller/shaft rotation was corrected and in conformity to the submersible pumps ratings. Ensured all loosely connected cables and terminals was firmly connected and the potential of arching and short circuit mitigated Introduced and ensured that appropriate circuit breaker, contactor and overload circuit protection was installed for the submersible pump system. Observed and supervised the rewinding of the burnt 5.5 HP Submersible pump and ensured appropriate coper coil of same size and turns as default was used. Ensured leakages were stopped, corroding pump sand papered and coated with oil paint. Ensured all inherent problems were eliminated, submersible pump installed and restored to normal operation. Ensured that maintenance action carried out on the submersible pump and wiring system was reference to known standard.
