I’ve always trusted my ability to stay calm under pressure, and that’s what motivates me to take on challenging tasks. As a junior data analyst, I see myself as someone who balances both practical execution and analytical thinking. I enjoy working through complex problems in a structured way, using my attention to detail and a trial and error approach to find the best solutions. I also bring a lot of energy and curiosity into my work. I genuinely enjoy exploring new ideas, experimenting with different approaches, and thinking creatively especially when it means going beyond traditional methods. This mindset helps me stay adaptable and continuously improve how I analyse data and deliver insights.
I am enrolled in a learnership program as part of my contract with HCLTech, which allows me to advance my skills and learn more about software engineering and business analysis. I learnt how to serve as a bridge between the development team and stakeholders in business analysis. How to professional skills to assess systems, engage with stakeholders, pinpoint problem areas, and provide solutions using solution scopes. I gained a better understanding of the software development lifecycle and became accustomed to using various software tools, like Xampp, Azure, and GitHub, among others, that are required in the creation of a software application that a stakeholder expectations and needs. Had the exposure on presentation skills improvement based on module topics such as analysis of business environment, construction and business process, elicitation and analysis of requirements specification.
As an operation control clerk at Sun International Resort (Sun City), I was in charge of distributing stock to client, retrieving stock from our main storage facility, and transporting it to the portable storage cooling containers near the golf course area so that the stakeholders could easily obtain additional stock when their refrigerators ran out and keep selling during the Netbank golf challenge event. To ensure that all stakeholders would be billed appropriately, I was also in charge of restock the stakeholder refrigerators, continuing stock after sales, and gathering all issue books for documentation. Time Management and communication skills were very important throughout the event.
Managed multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously to ensure deadlines were met. Implemented process improvements to increase efficiency of administrative tasks. Provided administrative support to team members and management in daily tasks.
