• P&L responsibility for a team of currently 6 Project Managers • Deputizing for Department Head • Scope of supply: - Gas Turbines, Generators, Steam Turbines and Auxiliaries for large Power Plants - Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Erection and Commissioning Support, Certification as required by local law • Portfoliomanagement: - Periodic formal review of project financials and status - Monitoring of execution of project strategies to maximize Alstom profits - Maintain and improve customer and internal partners satisfaction • KPIs: On-time delivery, Margin improvement, Reduction of Cost of Poor Quality • Portfolio risk management • Currently owner of project management execution work instructions • Monitoring and improvement of processes: - Project execution - Power plant safety • Ensure interdisciplinary communication to customers, project partners and internal stakeholders • Active alignment with internal stakeholders for project-, process- und product improvement
• P&L responsibility for individual projects with a volume of 50 to 400 MEUR • Scope of supply: - Gas Turbines, Generators, Steam Turbines and Auxiliaries for large Power Plants - Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Erection and Commissioning Support, Certification as required by local law - Typical project duration 18 to 48 months • Main goals: - Ensure compliance with EPC contract - Maintain and improve customer and internal partners satisfaction - KPIs: On-time delivery, Margin improvement, Reduction of Cost of Poor Quality - Ensure rigorous application of processes for power plant safety during engineering, erection and commissioning • Ensure interdisciplinary communication to customers, project partners and internal stakeholders
Responsible for strategy definition and implementation, market introduction, and portfolio management of innovative products and services for Combined-Cycle Power Plants, such as modular long term service agreements and innovative OEM service packages for plant operation and cost optimisation. Special assignment as competitor and customer analyst for service of large industrial gas turbines.
From January 1996 to January 1999 R&D expert and project manager at Ansaldo Ricerche srl, Genova, Italy. Responsible for strategic R&D planning in the core activity advanced power plant technologies, and the project coordination of large European Community funded R&D initiatives during acquisition and execution phase in compliance with budget and schedule. From July 1994 to December 1995 Fellow of the Human Capital and Mobility programme of the CEC (Commission of the European Communities). Responsible for the coordination of international R&D project proposals (Brite/Euram, TMR), and R&D coordination in the field of advanced power generation projects.
Responsible for the development of the first PC-compatible European Software for lifetime prediction of ceramic heat shields for spacecraft.
