I am a Statistics and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning specialist with 5+ years of experience in national statistical production, education monitoring, poverty analysis and impact evaluation in Senegal and West Africa. I currently lead MEL activities for Ndaw Wune, a Gates Foundation-supported remedial education program reaching 9000+ children in grades 2 and 3 through mother-tongue instruction in Wolof, Pulaar and Seereer. My work covers programs evaluations, indicator design, SurveyCTO tools, data quality systems, monitoring databases, R/Shiny dashboards and operational reporting for program teams and school inspection stakeholders. In parallel, I support the FAME impact evaluation with CRDES and J-PAL Europe, an RCT focused on gender equity and access to male-dominated employment. Previously, I worked for nearly four years at Senegal's National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD), contributing to the EHCVM-II national household survey across all 14 regions, training 170 enumerators and supporting analysis for poverty monitoring and national reporting. - Lead MEL activities for Ndaw Wune ("Success for All"), a Gates Foundation-supported remedial education program serving 8,000+ children in grades 2 and 3 across four regions of Senegal. - Design and manage baseline, midline and endline evaluations measuring reading fluency, decoding, comprehension and mathematics proficiency. - Build and maintain a monitoring database tracking 10+ learning and implementation indicators across 8 school inspection zones. - Produce R/Shiny dashboards, weekly reports and monthly briefs used by program managers, school inspectors and supervisors to adjust implementation during the school year. - Coordinate field data collection with 40-50 enumerators and supervisors, including training, spot-checks, real-time data validation and quality control. - Program SurveyCTO questionnaires and design indicators for Ndaw Wune and other ARED education components.
- Support the FAME impact evaluation, an RCT on gender equity and access to male-dominated employment. - Coordinated the phase-2 baseline survey in September 2025, covering enumerator training, field deployment, quality control and first-round data cleaning. - Prepare ethics submission materials, sampling plans and survey instruments for baseline, willingness-to-pay and follow-up data collection. - Track treatment and control groups across cohorts and contribute to phase-level synthesis reports.
- Contributed to phases 2 and 3 of EHCVM-II, the harmonised household living conditions survey used for SDG poverty monitoring across WAEMU countries. - Co-authored multidimensional poverty profiles and regional poverty maps used in national development planning. - Produced analytical notes linking household survey results to child poverty indicators for policy discussions.
- Programmed SurveyCTO instruments with skip logic and multilingual support for research projects across multiple countries. - Trained and supervised enumerator teams and managed field logistics for data collection in Dakar and Kaolack. - Supported research on carbon taxation, labor surveys and wealth indicator construction using PCA/MCA.
- Supported implementation of EHCVM-II across all 14 regions of Senegal, covering 7,200 households. - Trained and deployed 170 enumerators and supported field logistics, protocol compliance and survey quality control. - Produced weekly and monthly monitoring notes tracking field progress, response rates and data quality. - Contributed to data cleaning and statistical analysis for the national poverty report, including regional, gender and age disaggregations.
