Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia
As an architect, I have worked on a variety of projects and I am committed to provide high quality service delivery. The ability to work effectively both within a team and on my own initiative. I hold a Bachelor of Architecture degree from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and studied for Masters of Industrial Design in the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, USA. I have a great deal of practical experience working on various Architectural, Cultural and design projects. This experience is enhanced by my experience in design process and technical skills. I have had one year of experience in automotive design when I used to lead the styling team of the National Program of Automotive Technology which took place at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where then I had the opportunity to run through all stages of designing cars. After that, I was hired for one year as an architect at PARSONS, where I crafted my architectural skills through reviewing drawings which taught me how to pinpoint design errors easily. I also was involved in quality assurance for buildings. Then, I was hired by the Ministry of Culture / Heritage Commission in Saudi Arabia, where I am currently working in a World Heritage Site of Historic Jeddah. My work responsibilities involve heritage building conservation and restoration work, the drive that keeps me up is the beauty and authenticity of the place and simplicity of materials yet complexity of restoration techniques and UNESCO guidelines and regulations. I believe that adding visual value to spaces will affect the users’ experience towards spaces, hence, their quality of life.
