I'm a geospatial data specialist who has worn a lot of different hats. As a software engineer and scientist I've worked on pulling insights from data on wildfire vulnerability, sustainable food systems, flood prediction, environmental legislation, and climate risk. Love working with geospatial and remote sensing data.
Build scientific pipelines for global geospatial datasets; develop validation methods for disaster models; test novel ML methods for flood models; process and harmonize global DEM datasets
Managing ecohydrological modeling in Pacific Northwest watersheds. Identifying the ecosystem benefits and trade-offs of timber extraction on jobs, carbon sequestration, and water quality. [Python, ArcGIS, remote sensing]
I helped develop and assess rapid, satellite-based flood mapping for governments and aid organizations around the world. [Python, JavaScript, Google Earth Engine, remote sensing]
Worked with Dr. Phil Levin at UW in partnership with The Nature Conservancy investigating the social-ecological resilience of communities to wildfire across the U.S. Also developed an R package which captures and georeferences images of traffic congestion from the Bing Maps REST API.
