Retired! I am experienced in designing Rigid mixed technology PCB's up to 14 Layer. I have also designed Flex and Rigid Flex PCB's including dynamic Flexes. During my design career I have spent 3 years contracting at various companies which in some cases required MOD security clearance and the signing of the Official Secrets Act. I have used high end design software principly Mentor Graphics Boardstation & Cadence Allegro. I have recently purchased a Mentor Graphics PADS LS Suite license
Events beyond my control have meant that I have made a return to contracting. Software I have used to date include:- Mentor Graphics Boardstation (Layout, Librarian, Design Architect, Fablink & LMS) Cadence Allegro, Concept Capture & OrCad and PADS. I now have my own PADS license and can design at home.
Designing product PCB's as well as development & test boards.Technology VIP, Blind/buried vias up to 6 layer. Working closely with the Mechanical/Product designers to ensure quality results.

I designed Rigid, Flex and Flex-Rigid boards for Motorola which included working in the Turin office for the first 3 Months. Initially using Mentor Graphics Boardststion we switched to the Cadence Allegro suite after 2 years.
Worked at Vertu designing their Rigid & Flex PCB's from the inception of the company until I left in Dec 2004
I worked at Nokia designing both Flex and Rigid boards until I transferred over to Vertu in 2001.
