About

I spent my formative years working in the fuel sector and managed several sites under the Mobil/BP management scheme. I then followed my father and moved into the automotive engineering sector, specializing in race engine production and high-end restoration. Furthermore, I have always held a keen interest in all aspects of pop-culture, whether it be video games, art, movies or fantasy gaming. My interest in art and continual meddling led to my involvement with both the film and video game industry, creating bespoke artwork and packaging design. In 2011, I became involved with several independent gaming magazines: Nes-Bit and Classic Console. I wrote for both of them for a few years until they ceased to exist. Writing had always been something I enjoyed, and I had attempted on several occasions to write a book, although these initial journeys into text never panned out. My creative ideas at this point just weren't solid enough. In 2019, the pandemic forced the closure of my then employment and I began to ponder my next move. The lockdowns and subsequent isolation gave me a large volume of time to become creative. From here I launched Cool Sh#t Magazine. This was a huge eye-opener and learning curve, moving into an entirely new space. Terrifying, stressful, but hugely rewarding. I continue to create independent media products both as an artist, a designer and a writer.
