As an Android Developer at CarTrawler, I played a key role in unlocking mobile as one of the company’s core strategies. My primary responsibility was delivering a robust Car Rental white-label SDK tailored for airline and travel management companies (TMCs). This SDK integrates seamlessly into airline apps, enabling customers to effortlessly rent cars via their favorite airline platforms, including industry leaders like easyJet and Norwegian Air Shuttle. Key Contributions: Developed rich, user-centric features to enhance the car rental booking experience. Improved Android architecture by implementing Clean Architecture principles, ensuring scalability and maintainability. Updated CarTrawler's B2C native apps (Holiday Autos and Argus Car Hire) with cutting-edge SDK features. Embraced CI/CD pipelines to boost delivery speed and product quality for the SDK. Authored and maintained comprehensive SDK integration documentation to support seamless partner adoption. Provided technical support and solutions for partners’ integration queries. Worked as part of a scrum team that delivered features and overcame the technical challenges for our airline white label product, Fusion. I delivered features for check-in, interactive seat maps, and mobile boarding passes. I was one of the first developers to be part of the team that on-boarded the first Fusion customer, Fiji Airways. I also helped our TMC and OTA white label product, Trip Assist to deliver their first multi-tenancy app solution. Played a role in reducing the overhead of on-boarding new tenants into the Trip Assist platform by enabling the ability to provide 3 tier offerings; Standard, Plus and Premium. My role as an Android developer included: - Providing configurable app branding, building features with feature flags, integrating internal product libraries and providing CMS capabilities for Fusion and Trip Assist customers. - Mentoring junior developers - Ensuring best practices in peer reviews and the architecture of the Fusion Android app. - Managing dependencies, both external and internal across other teams
