I dedicated six years, spanning two terms, to the Historic Commission (HMC), contributing to the Technical Working Group (TWG) for the National Historic Competition Championship. Driven by a penchant for challenges and strong ambition, I continuously seek avenues for personal growth and knowledge enhancement. Having assisted in the capacity of Chief Scrutineer for the local ASN and assigned to assist in all the SRO Intercontinental Kyalami 9-Hour events since 2019, it was an absolute honour to have been a part of. It would be a privilege and an even more incredible honour to eventually participate as an official in international-level motorsport, i.e. CIK Karting, FIA WEC, F2, F1. Having further been appointed by Motorsport South Africa (MSA) as the Northern Region Track & Technical representative and also serving on the Motorsport South Africa (MSA) safety panel as the Northern Region Track Safety Officer, it is a privilege to be able to share and apply the knowledge gained to ensure the highest standard of safety is applied for all of the Northern Region motorsport competitors. My optimistic perspective and fervour for motorsport, aimed at its development and enhancement, and the fair and just application of regulations serve as my driving forces, ensuring sustained focus and motivation.
Lead the historic commission with a focus on ensuring its sustainability, cost efficiency, and regulatory stability, all for the benefit of historic racing. Unify the various historic clubs throughout South Africa, driving collaboration to fuel the sport's growth and success.
Perform MSA steward role at various circuit events (club, regional, national) as well as on special requests by the ASN to other national circuit categories/events.
Perform annual circuit and track inspections within the Northern Region for all affiliated circuit, karting, and MX tracks.
Appointed as the series MSA steward for the SA GT Racing Association (SAGTRA) and Southern Africa Endurance Series (SAES). * Enforce/apply the sporting and technical regulations * Evaluate all reported infringements. If necessary, issue an appropriate penalty * Revise and propose changes to the Sporting Regulations
Compete predominantly in the historic racing category for Pre-1980 saloon cars. Overall Western Cape Pre-80 champion - 2008 Class Champion - 2008 Silver Class Champion - 2008
Appointed by Motorsport South Africa as the local ASN National Chief Scrutineer to assist the SRO technical consultant team with various FIA checks for the Intercontinental GT Challenge series 9-Hour Kyalami races.
