Hello, I’m Ian McIntyre! My history of success in software quality engineering is directly related to my ability to develop quality applications and design valuable automation tools for testing. I’m an expert at ensuring user confidence and leading projects to a satisfactory completion. Companies I’ve made a positive impact at include Steelcase, Intel, Lamprey Networks and Task Management, Inc.— my technical prowess is not limited by industry or company type. My passion is for assuring the utmost quality in any and all software systems upon which I work, creating a winning product for everyone involved!
Write Automated Integration tests for the CI/CD environment using TypeScript and the Jasmine BDD framework to ensure the quality of the ONE-KEY Web Application. Key Achievements: • Wrote Typescript Automated tests to test the APIs of the One-Key application, to ensure product quality. • Reviewed APIs for Data Needs and any other requirements that are necessary for testing the web application. • Assist other people with Misc questions on Web APIs.
Technical Scope: Sales Force, SOQL, C# and Selenium, SQL, POSTMAN and Rally Planned daily activities and determined how to meet all deadlines through the use of SCRUM. Wrote Executed SOQL and Manual scripts to ensure the quality of the final product. Key Achievements: • Ensured the quality of the final product writing and executing manual test cases. • Used SOQL and SQL to verify data integrity. • Used C# and Selenium for UI regression testing. • Used to POSTMAN to verify integration with DocuSign interface was working correctly
Ensured the quality of Rockwell Automation products through Automated test cases and tool creation. Planned weekly activities and determined how to meet all deadlines through the use of SCRUM. Wrote C# test(s) for validating Rockwell Drives. Key Achievements: • Ensured the quality of Rockwell drives by writing test cases to ensure the Drive(s) conformed to the most recent DPI protocol standard. • Wrote a tool to verify Volatile Storage(NVS) after flashing firmware using DPI Protocol. • Excel Automation in C# for the processing of test data. • Reviewed Test Runs and Cases identifying valid tests and discarding extraneous tests. • Identified legacy products/tools that are affected by changes in the product.
Ensure the quality of Steelcase products through test case writing, execution, exploratory testing and tool creation. Planned weekly activities and determined how to meet all deadlines through the use of SCRUM. Validated Web UI, Rest APIs and wrote C# tools for Rest APIs. Key Achievements: - Successfully performed testing for Steelcase web UI, wrote test cases performed test execution, and tracked all bugs to closure in an agile environment. - Successfully performed testing on back-end APIs using Postman(HTTP Client) and wrote C# tools for data generation.
Ensure the quality of INTEL products through continuous integration testing, creating automated test tools, test plans and cases, and the security development lifecycle for BIOS. Plan weekly activities and how to hit all deadlines through the use of SCRUM. Wrote C#, C/C++ and Python tools for BIOS and high level application validation. Automate freeware UI based tools to ensure the reliability of INTEL platforms and software. Key Achievements: -Implemented the first firmware build and test configuration for BIOS Continuous Integration using TeamCity, Firmware Hardware Flasher and proprietary test executor. -Designed test system topology for continuous integration testing of BIOS, leading to BIOS being tested after each build, and allowing for more efficient resolutions as compared to a previous waterfall model. -Delivery of 200+ Firmware images on a weekly cadence for the SKYLake reference boards using team city and perforce. -Wrote tools to find deadlocking issues across a COM APIs, using C/C++ and C#, resulting in early detection of such issues. -Successfully performed BIOS security testing for three different INTEL Platforms, writing test plans, cases and following bugs to closure.
